This study examines digitalization and operational efficiency of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Benin City, Edo State between the year 2010 and 2020. Its objective was to examine the extent digital initiative has improved revenue generation in FIRS. A survey using a structured questionnaire was carried out by the researchers to find out the outcome of the study objective. Furthermore, a total of 80 respondents were randomly surveyed among the management and the operational staff. The field survey employed the use of stratified and simple random sampling techniques, where three departments were purposively selected based on their impact in the organisation. The data gotten were analyzed with the Spearman Correlation Coefficient statistical tool. The study found out amongst others that with the adoption of ICT in FIRS, employees are better mobilized for revenue generation. The study recommends amongst others that, to make egovernance realize its full potentials in FIRS, prospective users of the ICT infrastructure should be re-oriented frequently in line with new technological development in the public service.
